We all know how important it is to take care of ourselves, but sometimes it can be hard to know what you actually need. Self-care is about taking time away from the hustle and bustle of life to do things that make you feel better—whether that’s a relaxing bath, exercise, or laughter. Here are some ideas for great self-care gifts!

Bath Time!

A relaxing bath can be a great self-care gift idea. You can make your own bath bomb or put together a fun gift basket with bubbles, bath salts, candles, and more!

A great way to relax is with aromatherapy! Scented candles and bath salts can do wonders for your mental health, and there are so many scents out there that you’re sure to find one or two (or more!) that work best for you.

Candles also give the perfect ambiance—just light one up before starting to shower or draw your bath, and you’ll have a relaxing atmosphere that sets the mood for self-care.

There are so many scents out there—from fresh scents like grapefruit or pine, to warm scents like vanilla or cinnamon. I personally love anything very earthy with black tea, myrrh, sandalwood etc.

It’s important to work out and exercise as a form of self-care. When you worry about the future or dwell on past mistakes, you might feel that there is no point to continue living. Exercise can help release endorphins that will make you feel better and like yourself again. It’s also a great way to relieve stress because it allows your mind to wander off to something other than what you are thinking about.

If you prefer indoor exercise, yoga is another great way to focus your mind on something other than what’s bothering you. Yoga also promotes mindfulness and relaxation, which are very important for your mental health.
