Who run the world…
Women are starting businesses at 1.5 times the national average, and this number is only going to continue to grow. There are many reasons for this trend, but one thing is for sure-women are changing the face of business, and the sky is the limit! I’m going to highlight a few local entrepreneurs you should know about.

Sht for Moms
No one truly addresses the challenges, changes and constant learning that occurs when you become a Mom. You go from being an individual to now having to care for a human or human lives. How will you care for them? How will you balance your individuality and your Mom responsibilities? Do you even recognize yourself? These were all questions T had to answer for herself and is how Sht for Moms was created. Mom merchandise is not something new. ‘mom shit’ is not a new birth. T’s just reintroducing an already established movement with a more minimal yet classic perspective.

Owners Taysha Pye and Brittney Benson opened Vibez Training in October 2020. At Vibez Training, they believe that everyone should be able to come into a gym and feel comfortable. This is apparent as soon as you walk through the door. You are often greeted by fellow members and there is always great music playing to motivate you through those tougher parts of your workout. They take it a step further by making sure they are giving back to the BedStuy community. They’ve had Donation drives, Community Health & Wellness Events, Annual Juneteenth BBQs and now they will be hosting their first 5K; the 20th of August.
Check out Vibez Training if you want to join a Health & Wellness community that cares and will support you through your fitness journey.
